This first post is the new sagittae I got from Jeff Rapps a couple weeks ago. He's a male and I measured him at 6" SL.

These are the 2 vented female xiloaensis I got from Rapps in the same order. I know these are pretty crappy pics. They wouldn't hold still, there's not much lighting on the tank and it's been a while since I've used this camera so I'm still having to mess around and tweak the settings on it.

I'm going to play around with it some more soon and next time I try to get pics I'm going to add one of the strip lights from one of the other tanks and that should help.

And here's Brutus :D He's the same male xiloaensis that's in my avatar. As you can see his hump has gone down. The pic in my avatar was taken when I had his brother who was approximately the same size. Brutus' hump was huge when he was dominant over his brother and trying to impress the female. He's still a hoss though :)

hmm...I thought I got more than 2 pics. I'll get more soon :D

**edit..I knew I was missing one

nope, no breeding yet. now that I think about it, the hump went down when I moved about 6 weeks ago, and that was when the suspected female died...she didn't survive the move. His hump hasn't come back since then. Maybe it'll come back when he hopefully takes a liking to one of the new females.

really nice looking fish. Brutus looks great its crazy how much the hump can go up and down like that. Makes an argument for keeping some fish together in that aspect as opposed to solo. He still looks huge
