Congratulations on the spawns.I have 3 pairs, all terrible parents. They either eat the eggs or eat the fry when they become free swimming.I do manage to save some fry by hatching artificially, but not that many. What do you feed your fry?
Thanks. Honest to you I don't know what to do with them ...

My last batch, I traded for some fish food at a LFS. They got a couple hundred of the fry for $50.00 inflated fish food worth $20 online ...

My other pair are bad parents themselves. After a few tries, I waited a few hours after they laid and fertilized the eggs, I took the eggs out and put them in a jar to raise them myself. I put some drops of meth blue to prevent fungus, and have a pump running to provide oxygen. The hatching rates are the same, pretty high as well.
The first few days after free swimming are very critical. If they don't have the right food to eat, they'll die off quickly.
For the first 3-4 days, I feed them micro-worms, because they are so tiny to eat BBS yet.
After 3-4 days, I feed them BBS. The younger the BS are the better for the fry. They are getting bigger every day eating BBS.
After a month, I feed them crushed flakes.
I always have a few boxes of micro-worms at all time for back up. If you keep the micro-worms in a cool place, they last for a long while, more than a couple of months.
Even the big fry love them too. But they are not as nutritious as BBS.
Hope it'll help
