My Anguilla sp.

They eat chopped fresh fish, leftover bait minnows, night crawlers, whole shrimp and hikari cichlid gold.

The small fish in the tank were actually assorted baitfish and a mudminnow. The mudminnow wasn't supposed to be in there, I removed it and put it in another tank.

They were moved to a larger tank, that was a quarantine tank. The water was too cool, they never really ate. Those minnows were fed to them in their current (tropical) tank and they did eat the minnows.

That's interesting. I'd have thought eels would adapt better to cold water. After all, A.Anguilla and A.Rostrata cope really well with warm water, too.

Perhaps they would have been fine long term but I noticed a marked improvement in behavior and feeding response in warmer water. With A. rostrata I never noticed a difference.

Update: I got a few new smaller eels for a different tank... I'll post some pics in a little bit =)
