To answer your clown loach question, they don't have to be of similar size to school together. Get a pack of babies or add some larger ones and they'll all hang out together with your 3 incher. The largest one in the pack will naturally become the leader.

Thanks for that, my LFS has loads of babies in stock at the moment so i'll go and pick half a dozen up tomorrow.

Sounds good... you will see much more personality when you get a few together.

You are probably aware that clown loaches can grow quite large (12 or more inches), but will take many years to get that big. Plan to sell them or upgrade the tank in a few years. Large clown loaches are usually in demand, so you should be able to sell when and if you need to.

Yes they're a very popular fish around here too. My LFS charge £6 for baby Clown loaches, quite expensive for the size compared to other fish in there but they're well worth it.

I've made a start at least! The puffers, shark, barbs and big catfish have gone and 3 more clown loach have been added. I'm gonna enjoy the albino red tail for a few more months then he's being adopted by the LFS. Still much more to do but i've done some repositioning and added a few plants for now...

I don't think that is a red-tailed cat. Their tails aren't forked like that. Got any better pics of him?

The pots are just from the local garden centre, I bought a large one and cut it in half and just made sure they were clean. The plec's love them and you can still see inside if you position them right.

Here's more pics of what i thought was an albino red tail cat.....

(ignore the 2nd pic, i uploaded the wrong one!)

I'm pretty sure its not a red tail. Need some help from a cat pro to verify though.
