I do not agree with this "brazilian rays are banned because there were taken too much out for private hobbyist"
Killing&Eating them is still legal, killing them for Tourist-Beaches too and as much as I know Japan has a permit to fish in the Brazilian rivers for the large Quantity of fish they eat.
So the rays which were taken out for Aquariums are just a really really small part of the rays which are taken out there.
In my Eyes it was just a "commercial" on some "nature safe" for the Braszilian Government.
The "food-fish"Lobby is much larger there then the fish-exporter Lobby.
