Your going to have to quit feeding that Arapaima so much food so you get to enjoy it longer

I know that's what most people would do but I'm actually excited to see how fast I can grow this fish.

I might raise the level in my sump a little. See how things go.

Try it out, but I personally think it works better submerged.

I think he has control of where they go.. he's lucky enough to be friends with someone with a 8k gallon tank. I'd rather see them in his tank then on someone's dinner plate or in an even smaller tank.

I meant he can't control that someone WILL buy or even take them from him. Because they are so big. If there are 6 people with the money in hand that want the fish, of course he can decide. But those people have to line up first. Which is why some of those fish are still in there if I'm not mistaken.

I changing the ceramic rings and lava rocks to 3 FB300 Fluidized bed filters.

wow your filtration is amazing. Have you ever thought of getting another sump/wet dry and making it into a refugium? Could help you a lot with nitrate and absorbing other things.

The fish he has can easily be sold, they are rare/expensive in the market all he has to do is give out the right price and he wont have 6 people lining up he will have 6000 people lined up. All of those fish are in there because he wants them not because he can't sell them.

Yes. The FB600 and the FB900 are too tall to fit under the cabinet.

Sir, I got my two pimas last july24 at 7inches and just fed them twice a day pure feeders.... now one is 22 inches and the other 23 inches. about five months. but the pima you got is growing faster?

Once a week. I change about 70-80% of the water

I can't imagine how miserable those fish would be sitting in 50gallons of water while you do your (1) 80% waterchange.
