Trust, question about the hotdogs. A couple months ago I tried it with my cichla and they would take it in and spit it out. They eat market shrimp and chunks of tilapia, did you have to do any periods without food to get them to take it for the first time? Just curious?

It takes some getting used to at first for them. Usually it's the texture that they need some getting used to. Just keep at it and keep trying you may have to starve them a couple of days so they're extra hungry.

Tank looks good. I don't mind anyone's stock as long as the fish look healthy and are growing. Keeping up with water quality must be horrible though right?

Funny story. Told it already earlier this week but I met a guy at a lfs who said he had two pimas he's had for 8 years and "they're slow growing and only two feet".. Guessing he had african arows and didn't know it or something.. lol

Thanks! the water isn't so bad. I am redoing my filters. now actually. the cermic rings and lava rock clog up with dirt. So I put in 3 FB300 Fludized bed filters. So they are doing a good job.

Actually those Africans I have in there are less than 2 years old :D
