I'm just curious Jed, why do you have to grow it out for him? LoL! He's gotta 8000gal tank for pitty sake! He should grow all YOUR fish out for you! haha. Does he already have some crazy large monsters in there or something?

That's the thing Ted only has the 8000G now. Besides I've always wanted to have an arapaima and not have to worry about where it's going to go when it gets huge. This is a win win situation for Ted and I. I enjoy the fish for a while and Ted's saves some money on his feeding bill.

Well shoot, I wanna raise a couple aramapias for him then!!

I've been wanting one for years but never had room to grow a 4" one to a decrnt size to mix in with my fish. I really love them so I asked Ted that next time he gets them I'd grow it from 12" until it goes in his 8000G he agreed and I'm really enjoying growing this guy out.

That is a good looking pima.. All of the fish look good and they seem healthy enough. I am very suprised at that too. Which is a complement to you. Rather than moving them out, it probably would have been better not to get it to that point in the first place. Which you had complete control over at the time... While now you don't have control over who will buy or even take the big fish you have in there now.

So when you sell a fish, you control who buys it? What is the problem on here? People need to act how they act in real life, and chill with the Dr Phil stuff.....

So true.. lol

I think he has control of where they go.. he's lucky enough to be friends with someone with a 8k gallon tank. ;) I'd rather see them in his tank then on someone's dinner plate or in an even smaller tank.

Leave it to Jed to have a 9 page thread in the photo lounge with 2/3's of it being controversy..
