My Aro growth

I've never had a problem, havent really heard of too many problems either, just give a good visual inspection and make sure it doesnt leak....should be good to go.
 
I have seen some in the Pennysaver but they were like 100$ more than the new tanks i get. the guy i get them from gives me a discount on the stuff cause i buy from him alot
 
all i know is that it is a 4ft tank but he won't be in it all his life. If it comes down to it ill get a nother 100g but i plan to get a job and save up for a 240g and the dimensions on the 240 are 8ft L x 2ft W x 2ft H
 
wow 4" a month is cool! Silvers do grow extremly fast! my former RIP one :( grew about 3" a month and didnt slow until about 18" (lol then he only grew about an inch a month :grinyes: )Best of luck on finding a tank :thumbsup: You could always try glasscages.com for a cheap big tank (I have 3 acrylics from them)-with no problems at all and they ship.
 
so let me get this straight. You have an 11" arowana in a 10 gallon tank? am I the only person here that sees this as a problem? When I got my first aro I had all kinds of people bashing me for keeping my 8" aro in a 55 until I got my 220. I have also had people tell me that my 220 is to small for a full grown aro. I mean its a 20"x10" tank, that fish has absolutly no swimming space. Now I am not preaching here because i feel that its your fish do what you want(example: despite what people think my aro will stay in a 220 forever) maybe I didn't read your post carfully enough. you don't even have the larger tank yet? because an 11" aro is not even close to slowing down in growth yet. I would start selling some stuff other than a gamcube and jump straight to a 6' tank setup. just my advice though.. by the way your aro does look great but if you want it to stay that way better get a move on on the big tank.. good luck man
 
I can't really think of anything else to sell. the gamecube was only thing i had that other ppl wanted. if i had more stuff i would but unfortunelty i don't. ill check my room for crap i don't need anymore but the onlything i can think of is my old POKEMON cards to sell on ebay lol
 
just wanted to add $1000.00 won't set up a 240. i have $1600+ in my 220 and I built the stand and hood and searched for the best deals i could find for filtration and other stuff. feel free to ask if you have any questions on setup I will share my experiences with you.. thanks
 
Thnx. and I have seen a 240g Full set up with EVERYTHING for 950(after sale price b4 was 1250$) At my LFS this guy sells complete set ups for cheap. I got my 100g for 500$ with gravel, landscaping rocks, filter, airator, light fixuters, air stones, and Light bulbs i hope he gets anothoer 240 but i could probly just have him order me 1. he is an awsome guy, he even sells illegal fish:D. the best thing is he sell Monster Fish. thats were i got my Aro
