Everything was fine until I did a water change today i primed the water as usual and now my oscar has an eye cloud and my aro had almost this cottony look all over his body and he can barely keep swimming im afraid its only a matter of time wat should i do?

I added pimafix to let you know but to save him wha should i do if nething

What is your water parameters?
What size tank?
What temp?
What size are the fish?
Remain calm.. Not all members can get to the thread asap.

In the mean time, I would slowly bump the temp to 86 degrees..
Every couple hours turn a notch slowly so there is no temp shock.
Add aquarium salt accordingly.
Keep water pristine with low nitrate levels.

To help ease your aro, keep lights off..

The fish were perfectly fine before the wc? Can you try to post a cpl of pics. I really dont know of anything that would effect your fish so quickly. Did you use the correct ammount of prime? Could it be Ph shock. Good luck.

how big of water change and when was the last time you did one?
Also list tank size, filtration and parameters please...

maybe he is got really stressed out and produced to much slime coat? not sure but pics would help

I dont have a camera and my friend has my testing kit and it was 11oclock when i noticed and he didnt answer but it looks almost like strings of cotton growing off of his body.

last time i did a wc was 2 weeks ago and they were perfectly fine before it besides the oscar had a slight cloud eye that was going away. But nothing was wrong w the aro at all.

I was adding melafix for the cloud eye and then the stresscoat w the water change could that have been a bad combination?

Right now since about 3 hours ago some of the cotton is falling off i did another wc without touching the gravel someone had told me to and it appears he is losing some of the cottony stuff but still has a ton.

Im just very nervous im going to wake up in the morning and he will be belly up. He is very important to me as u can imagine thats why im panicking. when i seen him w his tail on the ground and his head facing up i honestly almst cried.

he is in a 55g right now my 125 is here but im waiting formy friend to give me his stand. ( he will be in a 300 and eventually a pond if he makes it).

It was about a 30% waterchange.
I did everything as I always have for the last 6 months.

I have now noticed my catfish is developing a cloud eye I am freaking out. I dont understand what I could have done wrong within 8 hours of a wc my tank is looking screwed.

Should I have added the pimafix. It says for cottony growth so I added the proper ammount.
