He's swimming normally but he seems afraid of me. Barely eating as well. Refuses to eat off my hand anymore.
i would be afraid of you too... why would you not ask on a thread about this BEFORE you did it... why can you not accept your arow for the way he is...

people should beware of what you read on the internet until you check it out.. get more information.. i don't care what it pertains to... don't believe everything you read or hear.. and use your logic..

Ya think? You have permanently imprinted his being with your thumbprints, keep messing around and he'll probably bite the crap out of you...

Exactly...You would think an issue as debated as drop-eye, would have some definitive instructions all over the net, if there were any...

The guys at the other forum didn't condemn him or anything and he claimed that it worked on his. They seemed quite supportive. That was why I tried it out.

Well, it's not that I can't accept how he looks. To me it's more like treating it when it's sick. Like if he has ich, lice or something I'd buy medication. So for DE, I looked it up and thought it was a method I could try to get the eye right.

Hope you guys don't get me wrong here.

Anyway, I'll not be messing with his eyes anymore. I know I'm wrong here for doing it.

Please link me to this forum where they/anybody said to massage an eye...
I think you might have remembered something about massage and applied it to the eye yourself...Maybe you were thinking gill curl, perhaps...??!?

Ich is an illness, and can be cured with meds...
drop eye is a physiological condition... and by the way, all the research I have done on the subject, besides expensive surgery, putting them in an earthen pond for a couple of years, is the only reversal for drop eye I could find...and it is not a for sure thing...

i am sorry i sounded harsh.. i just felt terrible when i heard about this.. i don't care what forum you read it on.. there are no known prevention measures.. .. .....i just felt bad for the arow.. must have been so traumatized from it...hope he will be okay..and this is no way compared to a disease... drop eye is just a droopy eye... those other issues are diseases.. they have to be treated.. or your fish will die... drop eye does not kill... he can live a good long life with drop eye..big difference..

No worries, at least I know now that I did a very stupid thing.

I don't think this is the post cause he didn't mention massaging. I probably combined the methods from 2 posts together or something. Not sure if you guys know what I mean.

"hi all member
