my silver did it alot when it was younger. it will still do it from time to time but not too often anymore. i think maybe my redtail cat used to excite the aro at night also. as soon as the light was off the rtc was nonstop until it came back on in the morning.
i miss my redtail that died a few weeks ago because of digestion problems but my aro seems much calmer and seems to glide through the water much more freely. sorry to go off on a tangent but if your aro is not alone maybe other fish with it are exciting it.
Hi there my jardini does a similar thing although i find it is worse when the tank lights are off and the room lights are on he gets disorientated,I have to turn off all the room lights before the tank lights and he is fine
one option if u have a white and a blue light turn on the blue and let him get accustomed before turning them off all together.
