my stupid arowana wont stop jumping...he doesnt jump out of the tank he jumps and hits the glass tops so like once a week im treating him for cuts or something but this time he really hurt himself he jumped hit the top and right above his gill plate is like bluish black and the scale is peeling.....is there anyway to stop him from jumping..probably not ......im just kinda mad and feel bad because he keeps hurting himseld

yeah i no hes fine hes jumped out of the tank multiple fine hes a beast but it makes me bummed when friends and family come to llok at my tank and hes all banged up i think im going to try lowering the temp because dont higher temps make fish more active?
1 of my arowana is like that , if he's spooked i've seen him jumped continuosly for like 8-9 times, i didn't leave wanting to see how may time he would do it continously lolz. i do have my water level 6 inch below the top.
try not to make sudden move when yhou approach his tank. he would probably get scared but won't jump if you don't make any sudden move approaching his tank

no hes not skittish because he lets me touch him sometimes he just has ADHD or something hehehehe
My prev aro, which was about 30" long used to do that all the time. Some times I used to wake up due to that noise! I'm not kidding...but I don't think its a biggie...hopefully the wounds are not that bad...
