My attempt at a Rio Xingu biotope... (G. argyrostictus)

Great start! I'd just keep an eye on them when you add the Ret's, argyo's tend to be pretty feisty for a Geo.

What are the dimensions of an 80 long? I've tried looking it up and didn't get a single hit.

Thanks Chris! I was actually debating on selling the Retro's. The two dominant argy's are already feisty now. Eartheater respectively that is.
We'll see how it goes. I might just put them in and keep a close eye.

I got the tank from a friend that found it at Goodwill a few years back. I think its custom. The dimensions are 72"x13"wx18"h.

Tank looks fantastic bro! Love the pothos on tanks like this. I have some wood you may want for it. Hit me up

Thanks for the wood, J! How long do you think before it sinks?

Someone beat me to the wood joke, :) I like the setup. Very nice 80 wide. The sand turned out better than I had imagine. The plant is awesome. In time I'll emulate your setup for the Altifrons.

Thanks, Sonny! I have an extra bag of sand that I'm not going to use if you want it. How are the altrifrons liking their new home?

You're welcome! Give it 3-4 days more days. If you want it to go faster rubber band a rock to it to force it to sink. It will get water logged faster that way.

I'm a little under filter and is looking for a external pump to hook up to my eheim. Otherwise The Altifrons are doing great, eating like pigs. I'm good with the sand, I have white sand that I am using for the time being.
