My auranti failure

down to my last auranti and he has some fin rot. Guess theyre all done for.

One of my bleheri also has fin rot.

I lost around 12 tetra too.

Gonna dump a few gallons of chlorine in once everything dies and start over
 
I didn't know fin rot could spread. o.O
 
As far as im aware you can treat it with antibiotics but my aurantis were dead before i knew what i was facing.

Healthy fish show no symptoms and keep the bacteria numbers low and in check with their healthy immune systems. When a sick or stressed fish enters the tank the bacteria jumps that fish and overwhelms it's compromised immune system.

Once it multiplies in sick fish, especially huge fish like channa, the bacteria load can grow so large that its too much for even healthy happy fish to handle and the whole tank crashes.
