Just my experiance, but barra are very hard to get to eat pellets. I have raised them on pellets from seedling, but once the have live feed for a couple of days, they wont touch the pellets again....Fussy buggers. I have found that if the r hungry they will still eat frozen bloodworms... While Im on the subject of eating, my jardini jumped out of the tank whilst I was in the process of moving him, and he hasnt been eating stuff with the usual agression. Have you ever had a "fish overboard" and how long before they livened up again?
 
Nice barra my mate just bought one 8'' for his toga tank.

Thanx everybody im not too worried about getting him onto pellets as he eats meaty prepaired foods like a champ :) cant wait till he gets over 12" :)
