well its newly established there in a 30 i tried to put enough hiding spots with the drift wood and claypots they seam to hide pretty well and i heep the tank pretty dark because it seems to be what the like
 
they had a ball with the brine shimp last night i had 2 watch from about 5 feet away any closer and they would stop eating
 
Just 3 in a 30? How about filtration? You shouldn't have any problems with them. Just feed them a few times a day. I have a baby red to, same size.Its fun to watch them grow.
 
Just 3 in a 30 ? lol is that bad good? how many should be in a 30 actually i have 2 filters on 2 whispers i think the are one for a 10 gal and one for a 40 i believe
 
Can you take a tank shot? Well from your photos I was confused, so I was quessing you had 3.. No, 3 is the minimum that should be kept together, that way they feel secure and show natural behaviors.. They won't live in a 30 for life, but 6 months maybe.. I feed mine gizzards... I like to feed raw white/red meat.
