My Baby Silver Arowanas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
this is my two cents, but you need to plan ahead. If you dont your going to have these fish in a tiny tank and no alternative. A pond is a pretty big undertaking and with you living with your parents your going to need to clear it with them before hand.
Im curious as to what size tank their in right now?

The minimum recommended tank size for an adult arowana is no less than 300 gallons. The pond is going to cost anywhere from five hundred-thousands. It all depends on how you build it and where you purchase materials. It is seriously an undertaking to just "build a pond" especially when you live with mom and pop. Space, electricity, filtration, support, etc. the list goes on and on. The heating and filtration are going to cost a boatload alone. If your unable to provide the adequate the space for these fish I suggest you take them back and get some store credit. They will outgrow a 55 gallon in a matter of months. Decisions need to be made quickly

+ you have two arrowanas so 300 may be slightly small if you go with the recommended size

Lol.. looks like someone is in really bad trouble..
a 55g tank is not even enough for a adult silver seeing that a silvers body is will be longer than the length. imagine how many hard it will be for him to curl

Seal up that top, no matter how small the hole. Arowana are extreme jumpers and will jump long before you would be able to sell them at 14".
