Have you try hand feeding it yet? I got mine at 5" and for 1 month now. He'll eat from my hand but I have to be really careful because he come after the food fast.:D I got biten twice this week because he thought my finger was a piece of krill.
 
Power feeding him on hikari food sticks now. He is chowing them down like crazy at night and in the morning and when I get home from school lol. I think the 82* temp helps that factor though. How fast do you guys think he will grow to about 12"?
 
I have problems with my arows feeding habit..

He too is about 6" and does not eat hikari food sticks, in fact.. he only eats fresh stuff.. Market frozen shrimp meat and feeders.. it sucks.. but i dunno how to get him to start eating food sticks.. he ONLY eats food that are moving.. or fresh.. the sticks always end up breaking down in the tank or eaten by my Oscar or Green terror..

From 6" to 12" probably in a 3-5 months if your arro continue to chow down like this everyday. Be sure to keep up with your waterchanges to help him grow. Now would be a good time to train him for hand feeding so he'll get used to you. I love hand feeding my arros. I got bitten twice by my 9" arro but it's worth it.:D

Any floating food would do. My arro is not picky at all and will chomp down anything floating.
