I can't really remember how old are they. I got them early last year till now so I guess less than 2 years old?

Ya. I got this idea of getting more juvenile pacu and keep them as a schooling fish in my tank. But they will eat me dry!!

maybe just a couple because they grow fast too.. and need a huge tank in no time,,but pacu are a definite attraction.. and are beautiful in their own way.

Yup!! But locally, ppl are not appreciating these beautiful fish. Infact ppl here just buy and keep till certain size and they try to get rid of them. In short, they are been treated like dirt.

Here too..they outgrow their tank and the people bring them back to LFS store. and then when they get too big or they cannot sell them they just dissapear.. probably eat them.. i wish they would not sell them anymore in LFS .. you see the cute little babies everywhere and people buy them and have no idea.. thats why i will never part with mine.. the only thing that can end it all is if they bust the tank.. then i don't think any of us will survive. i sure pray to the gods that won't happen.

Mine are keeping fine in the 6 footer tank right now. Thinking of sourcing another 2 to make up 4 in there. Kinda love their massive look and attitude towards human.

I love it tooo.. and i love that they are really gentle giants with alot of personality.. and people actually are jealous and amazed and sometimes sorry they did not keep theres..

Yah man. Saw some juvenile one here but I wonder if the bigger one will hunt the smaller one as food.... Any advise?

here is mine with african cichlid that they love and has been with them for 8 months.. are yours good with other fish, did you feed them live food.. i think it is how they were brought up that makes the difference..mine have only eaten veggies and frozen and dry food.. never live food.
