Looks like the tail color is gonna change. According to the picture, I believe it will change to yellow.

I was thinking the opposite, that it would lose the yellow- I see your reasoning too, though

Most banjar red start off with red tail and turn more pale to orangish or yellow. Not too sure tho since Banjar red can be confusing.

I dont know if this fish's tail colour will change. He has nice blue/purple shine through his scales. I tried to pick it up the best I could in the pics, but the colour is much better in person.

Yes, he is nice to look at. His appearance doesn't match his personality though...he is one aggressive sob!
