Great. Thanks for the diligent and informative answer. I'm not too surprised by a large disparity of fish growth, having seen that with many of my fish - I always prefer to get multiples of every species I acquire and not uncommonly their growth rate differs by as much as 2x, even 3x sometimes, but not by 10x or higher as is the case with this little RTC.

Thanks V! I believe he came in about the same time with some of yours back Nov/Dec of 2014. He was 5" then. I took over him in Nov 2015 when he was 7". He's just barely 9"-10" now, still lives comfortably in 1/2 of a 60-gal tank.

I thought you were joking about the growth at first... wow.. that's actually awesome to have a mini rtc!

No joke! Will give it another year to find out whether a rtc can live in a 60-gal for live BTW, this was him 2 years ago
