My Bds/ tank update

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks,
I plan on using quickcrete, I wasnt planning on sealing it, just filling the tank and letting the PH raise and doing some water changes until it nutralizes. Once the PH drops enough ill connect it back up with the sump for the full 850 ish gallons.

Sanded the whole front down today, going to be buffing with Novus tomorrow..
I also picked up a little something last night... I just couldn't resist :nilly::headbang2

I was always under the impression that concrete and/or cement always leached and caused an increase in PH. Therefore needed to be sealed. Am I incorrect?
Tanks looks good TB.............

PS: If you can bounce a quarter off of them then usually they are fake..........:naughty:

What grit sand paper are you using? Im in the process of this myself. Also what would you say total cost on your background is? I'm debating on this or buying a premade one.

I have always been told that concrete will continue to leach forever, this is why liner swimming pools need buffering more than tiled pools as tiled leach the whole time. I would use some pond sealant for concrete.

That looks good ! I think you can pickle concrete with vinagar
