I have a bowl in which I have a beta with a tiger barb and a blak skirt tetra my granny brought for me I was planning to get some more tiger barbs cause they live in groups but today my light gone off for some time and when it can I realise my beta had built a bubble nest and he is guarding it not letting anybody around it what should I do they r not killin each other should I ignore it
I want to know why he built a bubble nest when female is not present?

Males will build nests without females. Every male betta I have ever had has done it, I’ve even seen my gourami do it.
It will be territorial but if it isn’t killing anyone it should be good.
How big is the tank? I really wouldn’t keep a tiger barb with a betta, a lot of messed up fins that way.

Barb would work with any of your mid size cichlids, a school there would be nice. Tetra can work with the betta, though they do like schools (unless it’s mine who thinks he’s a silver dollar).

Yep, I think I bought two when I got it, but the other eventually died so he just started hanging with them.
I also had a silver dollar school with pacu, but I think that was more “if I stay behind them, they won’t see me, and if they can’t see me, they can’t eat me” lol

Do you have a full tank shot?

That isn't all too unnatural, even in the wild similar bodied fish will tend to school with each other. It doesn't matter who it is as long as they look close enough, they're a schooling buddy. Just remember, there's always safety in numbers.
