MY BFF!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Going by what the commercial shows there are a few different kinds of killies. I saw nothobranchius rachovii, nothobranchius guentheri and one looked like a golden panchax but I'm not positive of that one.

Depending on how many fish live and the size of the bowl they could be ok for quite a while. In the wild killiefish are puddle fish so they're pretty tough little buggers.

I currently have three nothobranchius rachovii that i'm planning on breeding so maybe I could put this BFF company out of buisness, lol not

11) Can I hatch My BFFs in an aquarium?NO. Your My BFFs will need a small place, 6 to 8 oz cup initially, then transfer to larger containers as they grow.

wow.......... they DO need aquariums when there older!!

lolz... what a rip off and a bad way to show how to properly take care of your fish. very sad. I def wouldnt get my bffs from them..

omg that's neat.... lol

You've got to be joking, right? That's the biggest scam of being a fish hobbist and enthusiast since the inception of the "Sea Monkey" advertisements and commercials.
If this commercial continues to be open to the general public, world wide, what does that say about us? How does it reflect on those of us true hobists and enthusiasts? I feel this commercial needs to be 86'd from all types of public media.
Even though I find it geared for kids who have nothing else better to do, it is quite misleading and you'd think the company's investor's and manufacturer(s), would be able to put their money into a more meaniingful purpose of fishkeeping. This is pretty lame stuff.

I'm not putting you down for your comment, blacktarotannis, but if you want to see something really neat, try doing this.

Get an egg bubbler, set it up, purchase some live native fish eggs from your Dept. of Wild Life, Fish and Game, (if this is something your DWLF&G will do), and hatch them out in the egg bubbler. Properly care for them, keeping in mind though as your hatching out your eggs in the egg bubbler, rearing them in breeder and grow out tanks, you should also keep a journal on their progress from the time they are in the egg bubbler, after birth through to their adulthood and watch them pair up and spawn themselves. Hence you have more eggs to hatch, and you are able start another cycle of life.

Keep a journal, not just on their growth, but EVERYTHING you do for them to maintain their survival, health and well being. One would be truly amazed when re-reading the journal, as to how much knowledge a person could obtain on an indepth study of a specific species of fish. That is neat, and a truly amazing accomplishment for any hobbyist.

When I say its neat its cause I had no clue you could dry the eggs and then grow them later. Not that I think the idea of this product is a good idea. Even thou who ever made this is gonna make money on this. This person that made this is just in it for the money. Not caring for the after fact. Maybe doesn't know anything about the fish. Yet I do have to give the person credit for banking on those who know nothing and get it. X-mas.... Birthdays..... Jokes.....
Its not something I would buy. Not something I would even let my son get.
