All your babies look good

I have been following your threads...
Thank You Scott
I'll be getting rid of a bunch of babies & adults to make room for new projects.
So if you're interested in some be sure to let me know before I get rid of all except what I decide to keep for myself.

Hi Jill,
Great pics of your JD's. I wish I had a decent camera. Your fish look great. Very interesting seeing all the different types of JD's.
You told me to post some pics if I needed help identifying fry. Well I'll take you up on the offer please but I don't think the pics nor video are good enough quality. The fry are from two different pairs of BGJD's however I can't see differences in fry yet. The fry in the tank with gravel are about 2 weeks old and the fry in the clear bottom tank are 10 days old.
What do you think?

Again I'm sorry about the poor quality. The bottom two photos are pics of the two pairs of parents.
Thanks Jill :)

Hi GT Lover ,
Very nice pics & vid. From what I can see in your pics/vid I believe you have BGJD's & WTJD's in that spawn. I don't see any EBJD's from the shots you posted. You want to look for very thin verticle lines in the EBJD's like the pics below.

My spawns are a lot different than yours because the parents can have multiple types of babies like shown below.

This is just an example of the types in the spawn. In my spawn the EBJD's & Greens can look very similar to the BGGG's for another couple of weeks when their colour starts to come in better. If I have time I'll upload a vid. to show you.

Good luck with your spawn GT Lover , I hope you have a few EBJD's in there. If you have time to update with new pics/vids it would be great to see your progress.

Yeah ok. Thanks Jill. I don't think I have any EBJD's as none look like the example pics you have shown me. I'm pretty dissappointed as my LFS have mislead me. They told me the parents of the JD's I bought were electric blue male and blue gene female. I have zero electric blues from very minimal losses so I'll be going back in to complain :(

Thanks heaps for your help. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Jeff

These guys are cute too :) They look different than what I thought they'd look like. I thought they would look like regular JDs but they look slightly different.
Thank You Sandy...
and (YES) you can see a difference in appearance.

Jeff (Don't) use my example pics as a map for your babies.
My babies will look a lot different than what yours have, as you can see all of my fry are light in colour. Your babies look like they should from a BGJDxBGJD pair. If you use a bright light on them you'll see some lighter coloured babies among the dark ones. Those are the EBJD's. But it might still be a little early to tell. Keep me updated & try to take a few more shots & video.

Best Wishes
-Jill :)
