yea well when i have to take gravel out of its mouth when eve3r i go over to the tank i have to open its mouth but i end up getting bit and it spits it out to bit me.

lol yea i might go pick up some pool filter sand today. so i dont have to get spined or bit any more. they are strong fish lol.

Bichirs bite? Is it painful or just a slight pressure? I have an ornate and a senegal, but I've never been bit. Just curious to know what it feels like seeing mine are so mellow and not aggressive at all.

hahahaha it doesnt hurt till it trashes around mines around 9 inches so it might hurt more if they are bigger. just a guess................lol

My Bichir keeps on eating the small gravel at the bottom of tank- it said it was sand but its fairly coarse- I gave her a pellet so she would eat that instead but she just ripped it up and continued on her substrate eating adventure :/
