Very nice! Those Classic Nigerian lap are all pure muscled. Do you notice that guinea laps don't grow as big as the Nigerian laps? My guinea/sankarani doesn't seems to grow anymore.

King-el, may be, but not really clear-cut in my case. the darker Guinea lap doesn't seem to be growing, but the lighter Guinea lap and the Tinkisso Guinea lap are as big as the bigger Nigerian laps. And by 'bigger' i only mean 16"-17", so that's not saying much. So it's hard for me to compare since i don't have any that's growing to monster size. As a side note, i have a 19"+ Guinea lap that i got a long time ago at like 17" i think, but growth is very slow.
thanks HaoHao;4409931; said:Nice Bichirs as always.![]()

i have no idea to be honest. Mine is just one of those 'regular' guinea lap with no specific locale. btw sorry about that one that swallowed gravel.King-eL;4410145; said:Could it be you darker guinea lap was caught somewhere around border line of guinea/sankarani area? I used to have the classic guinea lap from Toyin's first batch not the darker one and it too grew at 17"+ but died from swallowing some gravel. My guinea/sankarani I think is slowing down at 16". I tried my secret diet that I pumped up my other 20"+ bichirs but this particular lap just won't do so I'm guessing it max size now. Not sure about the growth rate of the tinkisso guinea lap as I never own one.
thanks man! much appreciatedBichirs4life;4412983; said:In my humble opinion you have without question the best collection of bichirs on MFK. Others might have more numbers wise, but I don't think anyone has a better overall collection than you. I see your thread and I strive to aquire a mere third of the collection you have. All I can say is wow!
