This is my 8" male ebjd. He is 4 years old and a very hardy fish. He used to be very agressive but after he moved to the 150 gal he's very laid back. He owns the tank and pairs up with a regular jd. His tanks mates includes oscar, sevs, carpintis, pike and others.

:jaw: You rarely see an Adult EBJD. Thanks for sharing hes incredible! Oh and welcome MFK!

so true awesome fish, can I get your address so i can steal it?

Congrats, because that is an achievement in fish keeping.

Nice specimen, any chance you can get a flash pic of it to show off the blue fins?

:D

Thanks guys! Given the time and space, ebjd can get big as regular jd. Unless we're talking about those really blue ones, that has a different head that doesnt look like the regular jd. Their mouth are different, almost like a beek, really different from mine....Those are more fragile and hardly pass the 6" mark.

are you sure hes an ebjd cause he looks more like a normal one compared to the ebjds that iv seen.usually they are electric blue instead of the green that im seeing here.and theres alot of space between the spots,i thought they were supposed to be more solid, with very little of the base coloration.compare to cohazards avatar

I love this fish so much !!!I have tons of pics...I 'll try to find some good picture of his fins for you, man...But with the flash on, he looks very different..I really brings out the copper in his back.

Its a ebjd for sure...They change a lot with age. Here is a old pic, when he was young. The green in the pics is because i tryed to correct the lightning in the coputer because i use very dim lightning in my tanks. Heres is the pic
