sorry about the loss, but i still do not believe in the weight, the density of the cells would have to be ridiculous in order for the tumor let alone the fish weigh that much. There is absolutely no possible way for that fish to weigh as much as the average newborn. The fish seen on this site( http://www.lakeforkbassguide.com/fishingphotos/2007pics.htm )are all around that weight and could have swallowed your fish without a thought to it. Whatever "scale" your using must either be wrong, not zeroed, or that it is in a different unit such as ounces and your just reading it wrong or don't know what unit the scale is in.

nice fish

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I know the feeling. :(

As for those questioning the weight, it could have been a calcium mass (or something along those lines). Kind of like bladderstones, or kidney stones, or gall stones. It isn't unheard of.

OMG this thread must be a joke...LOOK AT THE GUPPIES IN THE PICTURES. Theres no way that fish is more than 3 or 4 inches and seriously I've caught 2 foot channel cats that didn't weigh 7 lbs...

Sorry to hear about your fish. It always is a shock...

I'm really sorry for your loss.. but I can't believe that was a 7lb fish...

My 10" koi doesn't weight more than 1 1/2-2lbs... and if his tumor was that heavy, he would not have been able to move..

Maybe a vid of you putting him on a scale to prove his weight?
If you still have the body.

He was a very pretty guy, sorry again, they have great personality, it's always sad to lose a goldy.

Definitely a sham. Good catch on the guppies there cenecker. Let's take bets now. $50 says the "death" is fake too. Even if your 4 inch goldfish was solid gold, it wouldn't weigh the 7 pounds you claim.
