They look so happy and healthy! What size tank are they in now? And what do you feed them?

They are in a 300 gallon. We definitely have to go bigger. They eat almost exclusively, pond pellets. It's a lot of fun to feed them things, but it fouls the water and raises the nitrates through the roof. It's not worth doing a major water change the next day. It is entertaining to watch them chow down anything we throw in the tank.

We don't know how old they are. We rescued them July 2006. My husband found them with 4 grown oscars and two large pleco in a 55 gallon tank....a moving away yard sale. The pacu were 15" fish in a 12" wide tank.

They have wonderful personalities and get a big kick out of watching us. I feel like I'm the one in the fish bowl. They are very interested in what goes on outside of their tank. They are jovial, gentle giants who push each other out of the way to be petted and fight over food. They seem to really enjoy life. In a lot of ways, they are very dog-like. I consider them my water dogs.
