great info! thank you! She's sticking tight in her little spot so all I can see are her claws hanging out, but I swear the larger claw has streaks of lavendar, which I can only hope will intensify as she molts. I have frozen mysis left from when I kept salt water and about once a week I thaw a cube and split it between the two tanks; that's got to be a great source of protien? It's loved by all when it hits the tanks either way!

does the mysis have quantitys of salt in it? If so, feed it to your cray very sparingly because while Redclaw can handle minute traces of salt they do not fair well in it for long and salt does not disapate away.
mysis is freshwater shrimp, but thanks for that info, I will not feed it to her more than once a week, and last time she only grabbed one before the fish got the rest! ha!
here's a macro shot... not my best but I'm working without a tripod for the time being. It's neat to see all the filaments on her face, and that long spike on the side! wow, ominous looking critter... she's munching on an algae wafer right now...
i dunno if i'll be flamed. but what you could do is break off his big pinchers. he'll learn to adapt. and he'll grow them back anyways.
