My "Blue" lungfish (Probabaly the only in the world)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
and hey look! little 12 year old bird keeper selki thinks your response was good.

selki if you like nasty arrogant attitudes like that so much check your inbox, i made a real mess there! only for you. :)

I've never been able to keep african lungs with anything for any period of time. Mine did more indiscriminate (and deadly) biting going after food than hunting or targeting other fish.

Thanks again everyone. As for the over stocked... I like the way it is or all my fish will be in chaos as they will have selected target.

wtf did I do to upset you  its only questions, right? thought a fish baller could handle that with out crying, but i guess not...

anyway, my annectens pattern never looked anything like that, so it looked a bit special to me... but if you had 25 pieces just like it then... there is no need to post the pic i was going to. but it looks soooo much like yours! except the color on the photo is messed up so i cant tell if its blue or just pale.

I would still like to see your other one tho.

and about the "lung farm" thing, my bad. you probably said fish farm.
im not that much into lungfish, the only thing ive heard of is that they're all from the wild. but then again I have never done "my research" and that was a couple of year ago i think. thats why I used the term "since when?".

...understand? :screwy:

I apologized for the misunderstanding I was high smokin green last night.

I sold the other 20 as I only keep this blue color one. My other 4 are in my 180g tank together. Will post pics of that soon. The expiation on why the patterns end up like this because of captive breeding. Even some fish get their patterns distort or in other forms once they are in production in massive number in captivity. Just like some captive breed bichirs such as endlis and delhezis, some of the patterns are nothing like the wild counter part.

Here are some more pics of the blue lungfish. You can compare the blue background to the color of the lungfish if some of you are still skeptics.

Oh yeah forgot about that term.

Yes this is indeed a Pieball Blue West African Lungfish. I wish there are more of this and start breeding them and have a selective breed of even darker bluer colored lungfish.
