seriously sweet lizards man.
so how is the overall temperment on the blues?

Thanks man. They have a really good temperment. Ive never been bit, and theyre only fiesty when they smell food. I usually just let them wander my kitchen when i clean their cage in they just kinda hang out. My dogs get a little confused though when they cant go in the kitchen and they see all my tegus wandering around though. :)

I have never seen a blue for sale in canada, I think there are less then half a dozen in canada

The red is about 2 1/2 to 3 years old. Shes pretty similar in temperment. A little more wary and takes a bit longer for her to settle down. But overall, compared to some people's "puppy dog friendly" tegus and monitors (god, i hate that phrase) she is really good. I have no complaints with them. They love their weekly soaks in my bath tub too.

Just found this picture that shows my other red in the back. When i got him about 6 months ago he had one of the worse broken sheds ive ever seen. Now half a year and many, many soakings later and he's made a full recovery. He looks even better now because this picture is about a month old.

wow, wonderful lizards. Why dont we have pics of there cages? lol.

They are in their cages in some of them. Its nothing too elaborate. The two blues are in a six foot vision cage with eco-earth bedding, a ceramic heat emiter and a 5.0 uvb bulb. Essentially the same for the Reds except they are in a 4 footer that they are just about too big for. Im starting too look in to getting another 6ft for them too but i have a strange demensioned vision that is 5x3x1.5 that may do the job. The room they are in makes it hard to get a good picture of the whole set up. Its only an 8x10 room and in it there is the 2 vision cages, an animal plastics 4 footer with a pretty large normal red tail boa in it, A 150 gallon stock tank with 2 alligator snapping turtles, a 100 gallon stock tank with 5 small turtles (4 common and 1 alligator snapping turtles, no they dont fight), a large cabinet with all my supplies, and a 29 gallon aquarium on a wheeled cart (empty right now). So yeah my room is pretty full and at least 2, maybe 3 of these cages need to be upgraded in the near future :). Im gonna get more pics of all my stuff up soon.
