My bowfin eats Hikari wafers from my hand

It just started today. He has ate the wafers before, but now he eats them from my hand. Awesome. I didn't have to starve him either, he had feeders yesterday.

That is awesome! I have wanted a bowfin for sometime but can not find any. Where did you get yours? What size is he? Tank size? How long did it take you to get him to initially start feeding on the wafers and off live food? Again, that is very cool!!

I have had him for little over a month now. I caught this one and a few more in some river bottoms. They are a great fish to have. I didn't take him off of live food, he eats that too. I guess he decided he liked the wafers I feed my catfish. I will still feed him and the rest of my fish live food because I feel they need it too.
