Those things stand up when you don't want them to.

So I've heard. Had a friend back in the day that had a liter bike as his first bike said it was unbearable to ride even to work because he had to watch everytime he gave it throttle. Eventually he got rid of it for a much smaller/funner bike.

Yeah trying to stay away from twin. Hard because I try not to be like everyone else so mainstream bikes go against my morals. Looking like older carbed 600 or newer FI 600 is the way I'm headed. If not the 650 like suggested.

Not looking for something that's perfect that away if god forbid I drop it no big deal. Again thanks.

I'm not downing a 1000 my no means. You have to have a little more control on a v-twin 1000 as opposed to an in-line 4 cyl 1000. That is a huge difference. If you get on the throttle all the way on either one though... You will be on 1 wheel. It is what it is. Thats a lot of power for 300 some odd pounds.

You have your heart set on a sport bike? I just got done with my sport bike phase and I can't talk enough about how much more I like my new ride. It's a much more "carefree" ride. For me, on a sportbike, I had to always be overly focused on what I was doing cause avg speed was 60-70mph. If you don't plan on doin 170mph or riding wheelies then why bother? I think it may be a fact that every1 who owns/rides a bike wants to see just how fast it really goes.:naughty: I like the new power. My last 7r had a redline of 12,500. My Roadstar's redline is 4300. That is just crazy to me. The power is huge as soon as you twist.

I'm sorry... I just got back from a ride and I just really like this bikes performance. I'm almost at the 300mi mark.:)

pretty set on a sport bike although my lower back can give me problems some days so we'll see how long that lasts. I just like the way they look better the more speed aspect of them. Main objective is to get out and ride and just be really focused on riding. Not really doing wheelies or trips to 170mph.. you'd have to be half dumb to do that speed on a bike(no offense if you have).. But so little can make something go wrong at that speed and no protection.

But yeah it's like comparing automobile engines.. civic engine redlines high with no torque and stock big cubic inch v8 redlines way down low but has stupid torque.

suhweeet bike
yup looks better than the sports bikes
cruisers the way to go
