Blood worms and Brandy. That's the nightly ritual... I enjoy aquascaping and tonight we watched our hipsophrys nicaraguenses chow on their bloodworms and spinach. Then I logged onto MFK and saw this thread with it's wood and plants and "Wow"!

yeah, that is just a background. I will be putting in driftwood and rocks to make hiding places for cichlids. (for the record, I'm not a bad aquascaper, so i'll still take the compliment) jk. I'm going to follow your advice ash, im gonna forget the flowerhorn. My problem was whether or not I could fit a green terror, which will get to about 10 inches, with a pair of firemouths, which max out at 6". the footprint is 36 by 18. the fish are at the fish store and are in the same tank. they are babies. I've kept both firemouths and green terrors, but did not have them at the same time. My green terror was basically a dog, and I love their personalities.

i think you should get a breeding pair of severums, i had a 7 in pair in a 36x12 with no probs., or that would make a good malawi setup.

Seaworld in Salem NH has some decent prices on driftwood, they sell it by the lb. It''s a bit of a hike from quincy, but there's no sales tax either.
