I have been to stores which had what they claimed were "Asian Arowana" but those are just as likely to be Jardinis.

Because I am a relative noob, I find it difficult to tell the difference when they are at about 6 inches or less. (And because the "coloration" of fish sold in India isn't always "natural").

On your trip to Mumbai, do find time to check out the (illegal) pet market at "Crawford Market" near CST railway station. (This area of South Mumbai is very popular with tourists, so I am guessing you will be visiting that area anyways.)

(PS: It may be "illegal" but it's pretty safe and has quite a few western tourists too.)

Lovely silver! I agree you will ned much big that a 125 and 180!

8' or longer is preferable but not really compulsory (opinions vary of course). Go with width (as wide as you can) - 3' for width is very good. The water depth is not as important.

Grow out the little fella and enjoy your beastie ^^

very nice silver! you will need a long and wide tank for them though, at least as wide as the silvers length as it grows you should keep up.
