Thank you, Mo.Hands down one of the most colorful Central American cichlids. I generally point to this when the African cichlid fans start in with how colorful there's are. good luck with them, Steve.

Pics?Well....I have had my Female and Male Breidohri in a 125 gallon with a FX5 filter for 10 months now. Got them from Rapps and we're around 2". I have them separated...the male beats the snot out of the female every time and doesn't stop. My female is about 7" long with nice colors. But my male is also only 7" long. Seems he isn't growing very quickly. I do weekly 50% water changed and feed both NLS and Omega One. Tank is in good condition. Shouldn't my male be more than 7" long at 10 months old?? He is obviously a male...nuchal hump, etc. But...7"???
My male looks exactly the same as yours.... literally a carbon copy. Yours is a little bigger and thicker, but color and shape are spot on. My female is football shaped but is deeper in color. Much milder disposition also. My male will bite my hand and arm whenever put my them in the tank.I have a pair I bought form Rapps last year as well. had them 12 months and the male is about 8-9 inches and the female about 7. so sounds about the same growth as mineView attachment 1377378
my male is pretty chill, he will flash and show to the female but really its about all he does for aggression. I also have 4 HRPs in with them which may help with the aggression. My male looks exactly the same as yours.... literally a carbon copy.
