it is just his stress bars. He does not always show the bars. He was pissed at me because I was taking his pic. Not to mention Dave had just cleaned his tank and did a large water change. He's moody like an Oscar. He's definitely 100% Texas though.

At least I assume he is. He was bought from a known pair bred by a local guy I would consider a VERY reputable source.
