for $20 how could you ever question it was a black?

Finally someone brought that up...

Yeah I actually told him this a few days back in his other thread, but you can see how it was taken. No return because of size :duh:

hes been looking for a aro to go with his ornate bichir. He called me and told me the guy he was trying to get a jardini from said he could have it for a $75 so he got it instead of growing out this lil guy

i dont see anything wrong with it because i got it for free so how could i go wrong but im good friends with the guy who owns the lfs so he would probly take it back if i brought it in

Lesson learned, Huh?

Never trust a $20 black with no guarantee.

Either that or don't trust Eddie's. Its not the first time somebody's been screwed by that place. And according to them an iridescent shark is an actual shark and not a catfish.

well the fish is eating a nd looks real healthy. Is the lil guy worth $20 and keeping? What would a 5 inch black aro run me because now that i have this lil guy the fiance loves him but wants a black aro.

$100 and up.

I cant help you, but be careful. Ive been to all the local stores within an hour or so of Albany in the past few weeks, and nobody local seems to know what a black arowanna actually is.

A certain store in Schenectady recently was trying to sell silvers as blacks for like $60. Apparently enough people complained and they cut the price in half and finally took the black part off of the tank label.

Have you ever been to Davey Jones Locker on Madison Ave? It's the only LFS that I will trust with no questions asked. Never had a problem with them, although they rarely get oddball or big fish in, and their prices are a bit higher.

How did you know? ;)

And don't get me started on Something Fishy...:irked:
