My Buttis play nice, i have a male green terror in there thats about 8 inches too and he keeps them in check they are really really really really afraid of him, my dempsey is also the ultimate BOSS in my tank, not sure if my Butti's will ever test them, they are pretty much afraid of those two. i have read that Buttis are very aggressive but i just dont see it. i had a texas cichlid that was killed by one of my butti's but thats about it. i dont see all of the uproar about how aggressive they are. maybe i havent seen it yet. maybe they have more growing to do before they get where they should be with the aggressivnes.

nice Butti! regarding the colour...I think it varies, most I see are white and black (with the blue hues) but have seen a fair few that are more yellow....mine is in an american community, and he is the 4th largest in the whole set up, he is around 6in....he gets bullied by my venezualan pikes I picked up last week! they are about 7in....I did have a monster Butti years ago who was around 13-14inches of pure unadulterated aggression! he killed EVERYTHING I tried to put with him, I think when raised in a community they seem a lot more tolerant! but thats not to say that once they hit 10in+ they won`t decide the tank should be theirs and theirs alone!.....I could not even do maintenance on my old ones 6x2 tank without having to partition him off as he would attack me, and attack me hard!...here`s my current one
