where are you from?
here in singapore you get VATF,GATF and other species on occasion...
i never had luck with pleuros simply because they cannot compete with other fish well.

I'm from Indonesia. lil town on middle Java.
Pluero must be kept in sp tank n planted.
Other fish like pbass i've been keeping, they live in a 350g with no other tankmate.

i've seen big pleuros ( bak in hong Kong) ... in fact, a pair of em... do fine in a big tank without plants and wit lotsa other big fish ._. but i guess they r sensitive when they r small...... gaah why does US banned these cool channa x_x me want

that's true, but they will live more happy if we provide such environment like they used to live. And they're not as mean as giant sh.
