Of course! Eventually...

Good work! I have taken Calc 1 and 2, but it was 8 years ago.

The next question is ,
Starting with one breeding pair of guppies, how long does it take to over populate a 2000 gallon tank?

2 guppies=100 in one month. if each of those pairs up and has babies, that is another 50 each. so 100x50=5000. take into account losses (deformities, cannabalism, etc) you end up with about 4000 guppies. so 2 months lol

I'm only in Math Analysis... But I'm still a sophmore in high school so it's okay.

Have you done analysis of a 5th degree polynomial yet?

Dangit I was expecting a calc. problem. :(

heres the problem:

A 2000 gallon tank can support no more than 150 guppies. Six guppies are introduced into the tank. Assume that the rate of growth of the population is
dP/dt = 0.0015P(150-P) , where time t is in weeks.

(a) find a formula for the guppy population in terms of t.
(b) How long will it take for the guppy population to be 100? 125?
