xr i had a 1990 suppra tt..but it was a auto..the thing was so fast i ended up blowing the engine one day..that was when i first started to drive..i loved that thing but i only payed like 1500 for it..and my max will screw on that red line..its not that stock i have a cool air intake and exhaust on it..as well as some new brakes...

Exactly. All other factors being equal, power to weight ratio (actually lbs/hp, but every calls it "power to weight") is the best determinant of acceleration. The 1990-94 Maximas weighed around 3200 lbs and packed only 160 hp (20 lbs/hp). The Saturn Ion Redline weighs just under 3000 lbs and has 200 hp (15 lbs/hp). Advantage Saturn, even though I think it's a FWD appliance just like the 1991 Maxima. :D

yeah, there great cars, the main reason i love em is, i can't find another car that can handle 1000 hp on stock internals, at least not in my price range, when i'm done working on it, it should be pumping out loads, there very well built, and fast from stock, though i can't stand automatic cars, i do occasinally drive them, but i wouldn't imageing driveing them for raceing or track days, i'm much more into cars than fish i find. i belive that you can find replacement 1JZ engines, though i would look at the engine and see what exactly broke. i was preety reckless as a beginning driver too, still am accaully, but not when any body else is in the car.

Yup Skyline man here. Got 3 of them but 2 of them are "not quite" road legal hehehe. Compliance is an issue for you guys in the states. Pity Motorex died.
