i know that the Rb26 it is rated at 280 but alot of people i talk to in places like 24sx.0rg or unstablehybrids and other internet sites say it is 320, and i can agree with them. the rb26 is not all AWD becuase the calosonic and the pennsoil GTR (they are skyline race cars)are FRWD believe it or not. they sport the rb25tranny!

In japan motor laws is stated that in cars they cant have no more than 280hp,(they must of lie or somthing to get pass by.) that is why there are so many after market parts for cars like the skyline and motors.

No other engine is better then the inlined six of the sklyline that can put out 1,255hp accept for the RUF or porche, becuase they have the same type of TT engine. I didn't want the supra engine(if i did go with a toyota engine i rather go with the mr2 engine because it is lighter and can put out as much as 700hp.) because the rb cost about the same used, but you can get it port and polish and it will run like new.

Yes like you I am also biased towards the 26 hence why I have 3 of them, one in drag spec running more then 1000+ hps u have quoted. However, like I said, it cost a lot to build a 26 up to that spec. 2Js are a lot cheaper to produce big power. Traction on the other hand is debatable. 3SGTE from theMR2s actually cost as much as a 26 state side? Wow.

nope, i'm trying to built the same engine specs of 450hp.(i think that is what the hp that it is around.)

Power wise. If you wanted it spec for spec, you would have to either go for a N1 block & internals from Nismo in the earlier series of GT cars or talk to Tomei since they still have the GT blocks & internal for sale. IMO, power wise, if everything else is perfect, the stock internals on the 26 should not have any reasons not to withstand the punishment of 450.

how did you get that name? my nissan car is name 5zilla(GODZILLA say 5ZIlla slow and you can understand.) from the story of the monster that came out of japan and show up in a Austraila race. they won all the races for 10years until the skyline gtr got kicked out of the races and told nissan that it was a unfair advantage. The first skyline GTR back in 1988. they couldn't believe in their minds that a 6 cylinder engine can put it out of over 1,000hp.
They called it the Monster that came out of japan; GODZILLA!

This is the main reasons that i am stuck on wanting to build my s13GTR HYbrid.

My nick was Chaos. My first GTR was a R32 so the nick was suppose to be chaosr32 but I took out the R LOL. I work for a Jap tuning house based in Osaka & have been working on these engines since the 80s. Yeah they were ban from Bathurst races in OZ. Yes I too am immersed in the Gojira mania hehehehe.

Perhaps out of respect for thread starter we should not defile his thread. If you want to talk bout Gojiras, maybe start a thread in the lounge.
