Bigger fish than catfish doesnt always work. Some cats will eat fish bigger than them. Just recently some guys gulper cat at 4inch I believe, at his 11 inch aro or something like that. It was crazy, the cats belly was crazy looking from having that aro in it.
Its really hit or miss, Ive heard lots of stories like these. Cats have big mouths and can swallow big fish. A good thing you must always do, is make sure your catfish are well fed. If they are hungry, you better watch out, they do some amazing stuff sometimes.
