ill keep that in mind. and ill watch out for the lesions. It wont be too much longer before this guy gets upgraded to a new bigger home. I had no idea about that. I love the way sand looks. I have sand in a smaller tank. but i dont like cleaning it. So i somewhat dread a large scale attempt. But i will for sure go that route for the health and safety of my fish.

yeah the larger one usually scoots around looking like its swallowed a marble. Unfortunately, one night i think one of the bichirs got a hold of one of the pectoral fins. And and a few days later. He is swimming normally but minus a fin.
 
awesome cats, my fave is the giraffe. I have one but he's only 3 inch at moment, hope he grows to be as good as that one.
