My Catfishes

Cool my ID cat and Gulper seem to be best buds too. Funny I've got 2 Gulpers but one's always with my 4 Trachyorstes and the other one is always with my ID. Well I should say the ID's always followin the Gulper around. The Gulper will hover from place to place while the ID swims circles around him. If the Gulper hits the bottom to rest do does the ID. I've also got Jaguars 3 of them.

My Jaguar hides all the time. Can I know what kind of lights do you use?

Btw I love that pic of your Gulper with the mouth open. That is a very rare candid shot. What was it trying to do or was it just yawning/burping?

I've tried lots of lights to get them out in the open, but none worked. Now I'm just using standard hood lights. I took all my hiding spots away for just one feeding and since then they hide, but not all the time. It's like in one feedimg they learned to be secure enough to venture out since they didn't feel threatened that time. Now two still hide except at feedings while one actually rest in the open and regularly patrols the tank. As for the Gulper shot yeah it's hard to catch those moments, but when I feed them brineshrimp they snap at everything tryin to get them. So I just tried to be patient and after many blurry shots I got that one. A feat I haven't been able to repeat since I haven't been able to get live brine shrimp now for 2 weeks.

Hmmm I think it will be kinda hard for me since I don't feed them at the same time.

Don't have the luxury too. I guess I will have to live with shy fishes then :P

I love those pictures, I think that one with the FRT and gulper with the shrimp on top would definitely have a strong running in the photo of the month!
