interesting pet... can u hold them or will they try to eat ur hand?

would awesome to watch them eat a frog!

you should make a video of feeding time =)
I handle them quite regularly. Sometimes when they encounter a new surface, they will "test-bite", which is of course harmless. But some individuals that are more bitey will bite randomly and without warning. I have had a few that were very mellow. Proves they all have different personalities.

Wow that head looks lethal. By lethal I mean horrible pain if bitten.
I've tested the bite of this species and the pain was manageable. ;)

And thanks everyone for the compliments. :)

Oh man I can see you have:WHOA:. though I can see painfull enough I would have thought such insane pain that you would need a hospital.

Perhaps for me it would be lol.

First of I think our new friend needs glasses:D Why? Because that defanged pede is not so defanged anymore:grinno::headbang2In thouse images I can see the fangs actualy quite clearly;) It wasnt ment to be in that way for ever as it would only take a copple of molts for it to grow fangs again. They lose legs all the time in the wild and so its important for them to have good regeneracion skills(and the fangs are really a modified pair of legs) For what I understed you hold them with your hands:eek: Dude for your mother sake DONT DO IT:nilly:I understend that some are more layd back then others and stuff(did I already said that I liked them?they are as colorfull as this guys get:D) but all it takes is a mistake and the pain that you will be felling will make you wish you never brougth them. In my sinsere opinion they deserve the kind of respect that any of us would give to a venomous snake and must be treated as such. I wouldnt mind having some BUT I wouldnt keep them in the same house were I live and would have a woule buch of safety precausions when dealing with them. For handling a good old pair of 13inch twesers will come very handy;)

ABSOLUTLEY NO KIDDING;) And the pain is the least simptom! What about if he is alergic to it? What about if is bitten in a dangerous area like in the face or in the neck? Its the same as dealing with a small viper like a eyelash viper! The venom possibly wont kill you but makes you wish you were:nilly:

Yeah I was kind of thinking the same thing by the looks of the photos.

The Red Leg has been defanged, the Yellow Leg hasn't. I never said both of them were defanged. I said only the Red was.

Coura - thanks for the reminder - but I have been bitten a dozen times by this species and I have yet to have a major reaction to the venom, so there you go. ;)
